Over the next couple of months the MediaShed together with SoSlug, Leigh Film Society and EyeBeam in New York will work with high profile developers to come up with an application package to rival that of Adobe Premier Video Suite and will try very hard to better it.

If you at all interested in a totally free package built around and available for the Gentoo Operating System distribution, you are advised to express your interested now and register your interest.

No decision has yet been made to define which application will eventually be ported, but we hope to have made all preparations by the end of August of this year, both Amanda Crowley "EyeBeam's New York" Director and Graham Harwood Director of the "MediaShed" are both very excited by this project, However this excitment pales in comparison to that of David Valentine who will be the project leader for this venture.

The MediaShed and this project in particular are looking actively for a wealth of abilities and skills from anywhere that is prepared to offer there services time or money to aid the successful conclusion of this project. The development of the software itself is only one single part of it. We would like to hear from devlopers - yes! If you have any skills relating to the writing of software for applications such as Blender that run under Linux then we are definately looking for your assistance and skills, even if all you can offer us is your time we would like like hear from you.
