AWSoM - Ambient Weather Sound Machine*

AWSoM - the Ambient Weather Sound Machine - uses found-sounds, triggered by the weather on recycled and found technologies to recreate environmental sound and feelscapes. We've a new mix for the Sutton with Shopland Festival, now in its fourth year, which mixes two days of music, film, art, and multi-media with fun stuff for the kids and everything in between. AWSoM is a free media artwork that integrates meteorological sensors (temperature, windspeed, direction and motion) to trigger and manipulate sound samples recorded on the site where it is shown. It uses open source software on recycled computers destined for landfill sites.

Yes that's right! The long awaited E2Prom returns to the MediaShed for another funky relaxed night of digital art, music, film and media.

Yes, it is on the 17th June! Not the 24th June as previously advertised. Doors open at 7pm, entry is £3.50 for members and students and £5.00 for everyone else.

In the spirit of free-media the money is used to provide beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.

Some come join the party.

Already confirmed for the line up is audio-visual remix artist Solomon Caine, VJ Mokital, DJ Hybernation, Game Boy revelation Little Penguin, Rob G and his Wobble Vision and a wicked selection of short films plus much more to be announced.

Another exciting installment of TW, in conjunction with Southend's Festival Five, with another top line up, including a DJ set from The Byte Stripes, some quality 8-bit sounds from Little Penguin and his Game Boy, Audiostatic, a tech house DJ set from resident Paul G, Sidechain and a very special guest Vizier from Damascus (Rednetic Records). This night is gonna truly rock!! As always, we'll record the whole night and it'll be streamed out at the Digital Nimbus nights in Orange County, L.A., at a later date.
