MediaShed ResearchSubmitted by richard on Tue, 2006-07-04 18:27.
![]() The core method of MediaShed Research is the investigation, expansion and application of free-media. Research at the MediaShed is always about finding new and better ways to get something done, whether it’s using mobile phones to more effectively engage young people in arts activities or a more efficient way to retrieve and analyse internet data. What makes it research rather than just getting on with it is that our work is not only demonstrably innovative but also open, documented, repeatable, tested and “free”. That’s why “free-media” is the driving force behind our research as well as our other activities. It is our principle of freely available and accessible information and practical knowledge that inspires us to pursue our work as research as well as the most creative solution to a problem. For more details on our general interests and methods see our “research strategy” section. |
