A discourse about the modes the public opinions/feedbacks are being (automatically) processed for commercial and political purposes.
Abstract
Nowadays moderated systems (usually found on newspapers websites) or (very likely) internal software tools of different commercial companies or institutions take peoples' feedbacks on their products as a raw material of further processing.
This helps them to automatize the internalisation of these opinions so that can work out how to shape their policies of production and/or 'education' of the customer.
Some things (important!?) are getting (deliberately) lost, some are being augmented and 'necessarily' re-/de- contextualised.
This would be the process through which the rich and tasty messages become dry and tasteless, similarly with exported Dutch tomatoes.
The project will aim to metaphorize these ongoing processes and/by revealing the employed underlaying mechanisms.
