Noon till 6:00pm Install Fest & Retro Gaming Event

Treat yourself to a totally free guided installation, courtesy of Southend's one and only Linux User Group. Our members will spend some 6 hours to help you install Linux on your PC, All you need do is bring your PC Case, your Monitors, Keyboard and Mice we will supply. And if thats not incentive enough we are also running, retro gaming consoles on a number of PC's. Yes!, thats right we will emulating Spectrum ZX, BBC Micro 'B's, Amiga console computers that are emulated on standard Personal Computers contributed to the MediaShed and it's work for the community.

Additionally added to all of this, we are actually running some ZX Spectrum Computers, BBC Micro's and Amiga consoles so you can find out how they compare with the emulated consoles available on the PC's. For more information on this Event, call us on 01702 460590.

If you can contribute a small portable television to use at the Retro gaming Event either as a loan or donation please contact "derek at techsys dot co dot uk" alternatively call 01702 460590, we can if necessary arrange to collect. You can also donate your unwanted Gaming consoles to the MediaShed these will be put to good use at subsequent Gaming events run by us. Food and beverage will be available but a small charge is payable at the door to cover costs.
