MediaShed Facilities

The MediaShed includes about 800(?) square feet of unobstructed space suitable for installations, screenings and performances. It includes an eight foot screen, audio visual system with projector and full broadband internet access.

The shed also houses our server rack consisting of mainly open source LINUX-Apache-MySQL-Perl style installations capable of hosting internet, networked and general custom software based projects. We have a growing suite of general purpose Mac and Windows based platforms and are developing support for video production.

We also have a small kitchen facility with a microwave and a round metal tray with holes in the bottom which gives excellent results when cooking supermarket pizzas.

Mongrel has over twenty years experience of developing, managing and staging media, software and network based art and is willing to make its expertise available, etc.
